Is an open-source knowledge hub for diverse gender mainstreaming strategies different financial sector actors can use to advance gender equality and inclusion in the ecosystem. It consists of online training, tools, case studies, strategies, and ideas, aiming to generate gender equity knowledge for the financial community and to serve as a global space where we can learn from each other’s experiences and diverse expertise.

Pro Mujer and Acrux Partners have teamed up to create a diverse gender mainstreaming platform for different financial sector actors in Latin America. The Gender Platform is made possible by the support of the American People through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Self-Assessment

The Gender Platform self-assessment and its curated library of existing materials and tools provide a variety of resources to help investors, financial institutions, intermediaries and large-scale private sector companies to understand and navigate the world of investing with a diverse gender perspective as a critical and analytic component of any investment strategy in a practical way. The tools selected in this toolkit provide a variety of useful, accessible and carefully curated strategies and practical tips for not only mainstreaming a gender perspective but understanding the current inequalities of gender and how investors and other key financial sector actors can adequately respond to the prevalent inequities in the region.

This toolkit will:

Guide the regional catalytic financial sector actors on how to apply a diverse gender perspective to their strategies, policies, practices and products.

Allow investors to evaluate their current strategies and financial solutions towards diverse populations of clients and to look inwards to their institutional policies and practices.

Build on the existing knowledge on how gender and other intersecting social, economic, and financial and demographic factors impact financial sector actors’ focus areas.

Help develop smart objectives for implementing commitments with a diverse gender perspective and monitor and evaluate progress and outcomes.

Identify and provide new solutions for the regional actors to redistribute resources to develop efficient and long-term systemic solutions that advance gender equity in Latin America.
